Discord Migrations

discord

I just want to inform you in this message about my future plans. I apologize in advance for the wall of text.

In order to reduce the dispersion of the community and provide a central hub for the servers I host, I have decided to consolidate everything into a single Discord server. Since I provide game servers for multiple games, it becomes challenging for me to keep track, especially when running it all as a "one-man show" without a second administrator or moderator by my side. Therefore, it's easier for me if all the game servers have a common Discord.

I don't want to put myself in the spotlight and attach my name to each game server. However, managing a separate domain, Discord, and website for each server with a few players seems excessive. I operate these game servers purely as a hobby because it brings me joy to provide a service to players from around the world that meets my expectations. Especially in terms of performance and attention to detail, the game servers are already commendable. It should never turn into a "big" project for me. Ideal for me is having a handful of players on the servers who enjoy their time there. My goal is to provide quality game servers, not quantity. Taking care for working individuals and adult players is always important to me, as reflected in certain server settings (skipping nights, speeding up actions, etc.). Furthermore, the servers will never succumb to a "Pay-To-Play" or "Pay-To-Win" concept; I would rather shut them down than compromise on that. Perhaps considering donations might be an option, as it has been offered before. However, the idea of in-game shops or similar concepts is something I strongly dislike.

The two existing projects, "Tollana Minecraft" and "Weekend Wastelanders (Rust)," will remain independent of each other in name. However, new game servers, such as one or more Palworld servers, will already be operated under a common name (my own). I hope you don't feel slighted – for me, it just makes things more pleasant, and in the long run, it's much more manageable for you too.

The new Discord server is already completed and can be accessed via the following URL: https://minifisch.at/discord The old Discord servers will remain active as long the transition takes; afterward, they will only contain a link to the new Discord server. Let's see what the future holds. Perhaps there will be resourceful new friendships, gaming groups, or even volunteers for the project.
