About me
My name is Patrick and I am an IT systems administrator specializing in Linux, virtualization, network technology, and infrastructure. My fascination with IT began in my childhood—I had my first experience with Linux long before Ubuntu 8, with early experiments on eisfair.org.
I got started by hosting my own game servers – from Counter Strike 1.6 and Source to Garrys Mod and Minecraft. Not only did I build and run large community projects with thousands of players, but I also acquired in-depth knowledge of Linux administration, network design, and system operation – all self-taught, long before I started my professional career.
Technologies such as Proxmox, Docker, OPNsense, and Linux have been my daily tools for years – both privately and professionally.
I originally trained as an electrcian for households and small industries, which gave me a solid technical foundation and taught me to work in a structured manner. I have now been working professionally in IT for several years, managing productive systems with high requirements for security, availability, and maintainability.
My goal is to develop clean, transparent, and well-thought-out IT solutions. Practical, efficient, and with an eye toward scalability and operation.
